Double XP for Pet Training

I guess someone at KingsIsle heard the sound of ultimate pet training suffering and brought some epic magic to the Spiral... DOUBLE PET TRAINING POINTS (for members).  Not only do you get double the XP for playing the pet game but also for the pet snack.

This is awesome!  I've leveled one pet to mega in short order.  I guess I can stop grieving over the Grimoire.

So get on and train some pets!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

What could cause a normally zen Wizard to scream the scream of ultimate suffering?

Remember I was working very patiently on my Ice Grimoire.  I grew plants to give him treats, I took him to the park and played mini games with him to grow him up and help him learn.  I took him on battle runs and tested his abilities.  Everything was wonderful and he was growing by leaps and bounds.  It took days upon days to get him to Mega.  Those last 2000 points worth of snacks and training was exhausting, intense and draining but my Grimiore was right there by my side.

What happened next you ask?  What could cause the scream of ultimate suffering?

Mana Gift is what happened. My tears have raised the ocean levels making some beach property owning millionaires move their homes back a couple inches. Some of them are defiantly surfing the slightly improved waves and wearing flip flops in their slightly wetter back yards.  But not me!  I'm still grieving over destroyed expectations.  Why must my Grimoire get such a grim talent as the final Mega talent? For those of you that feel my pain, I mourn with you.

Will your son or daughter grow up to be awesome without lame talents Grimiore?  You had such potential but now the torch of potential awesomeness must be passed to your children.

Update on Ice Grimoire Epic

My Ice Grimoire has gotten to Epic now so it is almost full grown.  Here are it's latest talents.

It's up to 28% crit, 4% incoming heal, 5% power pips, and 5% stun shield.

Here's a picture of Grim hanging out with me...

Here's an up close look at what the writing says.  It has the ice symbol and says something that looks like "With patience Victory is a wizard"???

After some smoothing, sharpening, posterizing and embossing we get something like this that looks almost better but still iffy. "with persistence victory is arsired"???

Boil it down a bit and it's looking a bit more like With Persistence...Victory is asstarved??

At this point the limitations of zooming and manipulating the image was pretty much done.  Without the cool fractal zooming that the full on Adobe Photoshop has, this is about the best I can do with my little program so I Googled what I could make out and saw - of course - the Ice motto on Wizard101.

"With Persistence, Victory is assured."

I love the fun details built into the game with little clues and details that let you know the designers aren't just filling the game items with nonsense.  I wish I could get a good look at the other pages of the ice grimoire.  I might be able to learn more about being a good Ice wizard.
