I've been told by reliable sources that the test realm is open!  You all know what that means!  Trying out crown stuff you can't afford!!!  Ever wanted to know what it feels like to use the second school amulet?  Ever want to train up that silly baby pet to see what weird talents it gets?  Well, now's your chance to spend a bazillion free crowns and buy mega snacks and power level that puppy!

Random Secrets Found

I'll be periodically posting about random things you may or may not know how to find.  They could be anything from Smiths to crafting trainers to card trainers or where to pick up that quest that suddenly ended.

Our first random find is the little dude that helps you with crafting quests particularly transmuting various of the more rare items.  For example, he has transmutes that can help you finish your Grand Master Artisan quest including the transmuting of pearls to golden pearls etc.  He also provides recipes for crafted cards.

Wizard101 Pet-a-palooza is over but you can still earn pet snacks at http://www.kifreegames.com/

My favorite is Doodle Doug.  I rock at that and can get to level 14 fairly consistently.  It's a challenge but the prizes are rewarding!  Today after ALL the tries I finally earned a mega snack pack at level 15!  If I have any tips on getting a super high score on Doodle Doug it would be to try to clear one side first.  If one of the digging types comes after you, you can get them stuck on a rock and it will give you about 3 seconds of time to get away.  Practice planting bombs and use them to score extra points. Grab ONLY the sparkly boxes that are always white... the others are bad.  Be sure to pick up as many as you can as often they will have extra lives in them.  The more lives you have the further you'll get.  And lastly, if your guy is getting caught, plant a bomb and it will hopefully net you some extra points.

Score more with Pet Snacks

Play Wizard101 mini games at http://www.kifreegames.com/ and get free pet snacks.  I like Doodle Dug or the iphone game WizardBlox .  A score of 1500+ on Doodle Dug will get you some easy pet snacks.  A level 10+ score seems to get you a mega snack many times.  On WizardBlox on the iphone you can get a mega snack with a score above 350,000 and a couple additional lower level pet snacks and usually about 500 gold.  Lately if you go above 600,000 the game seems to have a soft crash and not connect to servers to give you credit for the amazing score... I've learned the hard way to stop at about 598,000.

Anyway, play some games, get some cool pet snacks and enjoy! 

And don't forget the Wizard101 Dragonrider crown-shop packs that can give you a CHANCE at winning pets, housing items, wings, a cool skeletal dragon mount, new gear and a sword.  But remember it's only a chance to win.  I can't tell you how many hundreds of housing items I got and I still don't have the sword, mount or all the gear.  I did get a hat, a dragon pet and a pair of wings though!

And now for something completely different...
 
My death wiz got his level 58 spell!  Check out this hit on Mr Nightreaver.  I have to admit it was kinda fun.  He's a tricky one though.  You pay for blading up and for shielding and casting any kind of trap.  Every time you do he puts his own blade up or trap on you.  You have to pump up you death resistance.  I shielded a lot even though he puts more traps on, and I healed some by means of sacrifice.  In the end he was pwned by one awesomely powerful hit.  (as powerful as I could set up without getting killed myself) 
 

I have to say I'm enjoying my death wiz and a fire wiz about 50% more right now than my ice wizard.  I still think that ice wizards are awesome but now they have a very low critical and a very low tough stat compared to other wizards that have in the 80%+ tough range and 140 critical.  My ice is limping along at about 100 critical and 30%+ tough. :(  Not to mention leveling my storm noob in Marley is as easy as taking candy from the lost souls in Wizard City that is if lost souls in Wizard City gave out candy for Halloween... maybe that's not the right analogy.  Anyway, the point is, it's easy.  I maxed out his power pip potential and all I do is just pack his treasures full of accuracy plus tempest, in the regular deck I fit in a couple tower shields and a blade a maybe a convert if i need one.  When I start a battle I just shield, blade, tempest and on to the next battle!
